Peking University-Yale University Joint Undergraduate Program in Beijing

The Peking University-Yale University Joint Undergraduate Program in Beijing takes place on the PKU campus in Beijing, China's flagship university and site of a rich and long academic history. Yale and PKU participants live together in a new residence hall. No other U.S. students live with Chinese undergraduates at PKU in a regular PKU residence hall.

 

The Richard U. Light Fellowship

The Richard U. Light Foundation began funding the Richard U. Light Fellowship at Yale in 1996. Since then, the Light Fellowship has exerted a signature impact on Yale's efforts to internationalize its campus culture by giving more than 700 Yale students fully-funded opportunities to pursue intensive language study in East Asia.

 

World Fellows Program, Yale University
Aiming to build a global network of emerging leaders and to broaden international understanding at Yale University, each year the World Fellows Program brings to Yale 16 to 18 highly accomplished men and women from a diverse set of countries around the world.

Asia Law Forum, Yale Law School
A student-run organization at the Yale Law School, the Asia Law Forum sponsors speakers on all aspects of Asian legal development.

 

The China Law Center, Yale Law School

The China Law Center carries out research and teaching, promotes academic exchanges with China, and undertakes a variety of cooperative projects on important issues in Chinese law and policy reform.

The Orville H. Schell, Jr. Center for International Human Rights at Yale Law School coordinates a diverse program of human rights activities that serve students and scholars at Yale and contribute to the growth and development of the human rights community locally and internationally.

Center for the Study of Globalization
The Yale Center for the Study of Globalization (YCSG) was launched to enrich the debate about globalization at Yale and to promote the flow of ideas between Yale and the policy world.

 

Council on East Asian Studies, Yale Center for International and Area Studies
The Council on East Asian Studies continues a long tradition of East Asian Studies at Yale by organizing lectures, conferences, seminar series and film series to provide a forum for discussion of and support for the study of China, Japan, and Korea.  The Council is part of the Yale Center for International and Area Studies, and sponsors a variety of events as well as grants and fellowships.

 

Greater China Student Interest Group, School of Management
The mission of the Greater China Student Interest Group (GCSIG) is to better understand the complex and often changing political, economic, and social issues in China as it pertains to today's global economy.

 

The Yale-China Association
The Yale-China Association is a private, nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote mutual understanding between Chinese and Americans through teaching and service.

 

The Yale-China Health Journal

The Yale-China Health Journal is published annually and was created to keep the community of international health workers active in China up to date on rapid developments in the field. The current issue focuses on the status of mental health in China.
