Welcome to the Yale Club of Beijing! We are a non-profit organization comprised of Yale University alumni who, through our events and programs, support the global mission of Yale and its growing presence in China.

The Yale Club of Beijing is proud to be the home for Yalies in a country which shares a 155-year long history with our University. The past decade has seen a growth of Yale alumni in Beijing and in the Greater China region. Alongside this trend, what began as an organization with only ten members in 1995 has grown to one with over 150 registered members. 

Yale prides itself on the diversity of its students and its global outlook. The late professor George W. Pierson '25, PhD '29, the official historian of Yale, defined us as follows: “Yale is at once a tradition, a community of scholars, and a society of friends.” In keeping with these values, the Yale Club of Beijing – with strong support from our Officers and members – hosts open and member activities, including Yale University-sponsored events, as well as Club-organized lectures, social events, and charity initiatives. As an organization which includes alumni of Yale College, as well as Yale’s graduate and professional schools, our varied events cater to all members of our community. 

While we share close ties with Yale University in New Haven, our club is operated entirely by volunteer members, and our success as a club depends wholly on our alumni. I encourage you to get involved by becoming a member, joining our activities, and helping to organize events and programs. Your involvement is a wonderful way to connect with Yale alums in Beijing, give back to your alma mater, and contribute to Yale's success in China.
